The King Cup of Champions or King's Cup is a football cup competition played in Saudi Arabia. It started in 1956 and was played until 1990. It was re-launched again in 2007, played by only the top 6 finishers of the Saudi Professional League and the two cup winners. In the event of duplicate qualifiers, they are replaced in the following order: The Crown Prince Cup runner up, Prince Faisal Cup runner up, 7th place team, and 8th place team. Since 2014, the competition is closely going back to its roots, by implementing the old format, 153 clubs have taken part in the tournament. It is now officially known as "The Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques Champions Cup" (Arabic: كأس خادم الحرمين الشريفين للأبطال).
