King—Vaughan
King—Vaughan is a future federal electoral district in Ontario. It will encompass a portion of Ontario now included in the electoral districts of Oak Ridges—Markham and Vaughan.[1]
It will consist of:
- that part of the Township of King lying southerly of Highway No. 9 and Davis Drive West; and
- that part of the City of Vaughan lying northerly and easterly of a line described as follows: commencing at the intersection of the westerly limit of said city with Major Mackenzie Drive; thence easterly along said drive to Huntington Road; thence southerly along said road to Major Mackenzie Drive; thence generally easterly along said drive to Humber Bridge Trail; thence easterly along said trail and its easterly production to Old Major Mackenzie Drive; thence easterly and southeasterly along said drive to Major Mackenzie Drive; thence northeasterly and easterly along said drive to Highway No. 400; thence southerly along said highway to Rutherford Road; thence easterly along said road to the easterly limit of said city.[1]
King—Vaughan was created by the 2012 federal electoral boundaries redistribution and is to be legally defined in the 2013 representation order. It is likely to come into effect upon the call of the 42nd Canadian federal election, scheduled for October 2015, although in the unlikely event an election is called prior to April 2014, the current electoral boundaries would remain in effect.[2]
