Kim Sung-joo (Hangul: 김성주; Sungjoo Kim, born 1956, Daegu, Korea) is a South Korean entrepreneur and businesswoman. Kim is the founder and CEO of Sungjoo Group, the chairperson and CEO of MCM Holdings AG[1] and a Governor of the Asian Couture Federation.[2] In September, she was named the new head of the Korean Red Cross.[3]
She was ranked among the "Top 50 Women to Watch" by The Wall Street Journal in 2004 and selected as one of the "New Century Leaders" by CNN for the Best of Asia in (2003). She is known for being actively involved in promoting women's leadership, supporting humanitarian causes worldwide and for her outspoken stance against corruption.[4]
