Kiltormer

Kiltormer is a village about 8 miles from Ballinasloe and situated in county Galway. Around 600 people live there. It is also most notably the birthplace of Mr Tayto.

Sport

Kiltormer is best known for winning the All-Ireland Hurling Championship title in 1992. They beat Birr in the final. The semi-final against Cashel King Cormacs from Tipperary was a three match epic. Interestingly the final was not played on S.Patrick's Day due to the two drawn semifinals. Kiltormer were captained by Aidan Staunton.
