Kili Poyi is a Malayalam stoner film directed by debutant Vinay Govind, a former associate of V. K. Prakash. The film stars Asif Ali, Aju Varghese, Sampath Raj, Raveendran, Samata Agrawal, Sabreen Baker, Sandra Thomas, Sreejith Ravi, Joju & Mridul Nair in major roles.[1] The film features music and background score composed by Rahul Raj.
Plot summary
Chacko and Hari are two young ad professionals who are fed up with their boss (Sandra Thomas) and her tantrums. They decide to take a break and head to Goa, where Chacko ends up meeting a beautiful foreigner (Sabreen Baker). The rest of the story revolves around their return from Goa, a mysterious bag and an extremely angry boss. Chacko & Hari is played by Asif Ali and Aju.

Production
The principal photography commenced in December and was completed in mid-January, with Bangalore being the primary location.
The film is produced by SJM Entertainment Ltd and written by Joseph Kurian, Vivek Ranjit & Vinay Govind. Pradheesh M. Varma has helmed the camera for this one with editor Mahesh Narayan. Art direction has been handled by M. Bawa, who has also done a small role in the film. Costumes has been handled by Siji Thomas while make-up has been taken care of by Rasheed Ahmed. The production controller for the film is Noble Jacob.
Kili poyi was tagged an 'A' Certificate.
Release and reception
The movie was released on March 1, 2013. Paresh C. Palicha of Rediff.com gave the film a rating of 3/5, saying the film is enjoyable.[2]
Music
All music is composed, arranged and produced by Rahul Raj. The Hindu identified Kili Poyi as a song that was well liked in 2013.[3] Rahul Raj's background score was described as having a "freshness" and "funk".[4]
