Kike G. Caamaño is the guitarist and multi-instrumentalist of the Metal Progressive Spanish band Asha, formed in 1987. He has won several awards, including the award for "Best Musical Project" by RNE Radio Nacional de España in 1989, "Best Rock Guitarist" in 2008 in Carlos Pina Spanish Music Awards - Radio 3 from Radio Nacional de España and "Best Guitar Album 2010" with his album "Euphoria Project" again in the Carlos Pina Awards 2010. Kike has composed music for several theatre acts and the music for the DVD documentary Labyrinth and out of the famous German painter and sculptor Stefan Von Reiswitz, we can find him in several tribute CDs international bands like Status Quo or Uriah Heep, and you can hear him in many albums of bands like Caradefuego Doctor Snob ...

History

Asha was founded in 1987 as a project of guitarist Kike G. Caamaño to record a demo with three songs in a neoclassical style, receiving numerous awards. He has released 13 albums and 14 "Projects" album before its release. Albums like "Civilized Stress" in 2003 was voted album of the month in the international magazine Kerrang! and Asha was voted as the Best Foreign Banda in the Scandinavian "Monster Magazine" in 2004. In the Asha albums you can find many different collaborations, singers like Jacob Poulsen Anita Rowe from Hermanas Sister (Concrete Tree), Miguel A. Paredes (Efecto Mariposa Javier Ojeda) or Juan A. Soria.
