Khattar

Khattar is a Jat tribe[1] which is predominantly Muslim. It is found in the Punjab Region of Pakistan and India and was originally concentrated in the Potohar Plateau. In the Bengal Presidency of British India, the community was among those determined by the British Raj military authorities to be a martial race, a theory of scientific racism that is now discredited.[1]
