Haji Khanzada Khan is a politician belonging to the Pakistan Peoples Party. Currently he is the Member of the National Assembly from Mardan, having won in the 2008 elections.[1] He has contested elections for the National Assembly of Pakistan three times from his native constituency of Mardan district in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan, having returned twice to the Parliament.
Previously, he was a member of Parliament from 1993 till 1996,[2] when the government of Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto was removed by (then) President Farooq Leghari. During that time he was also appointed as the Parliamentary Secretary for Ministry of Kashmir Affairs. However, he did not contest any elections after that and rather improved his standing within the party and gave way to other low ranking members. He is famous for his social work.
Khanzada Khan is a strong member of the Pakistan Peoples Party and is also on the Central Executive Committee of the party. He was a very close friend of Benazir Bhutto and is considered a PPP stalwart. Currently he is the president Of Pakistan Peoples Party.
