Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar (Urdu: خلیل الرحمان قمر) is a playwright of Pakistani television.[1][2] His notable work includes “Boota from Toba Tek Singh”, aired from PTV World and “Landa Bazar (TV series)” (aired on PTV).[3] His recent work “Pyarey Afzal” is the rated drama but could not break all the previous records made by “Humsafar” and “Zindagi Gulzar Hai”. Personal life

He belonged to a poor family and had a passion for writing but, his father was not happy with his writing habit and wanted him to pursue a career. To fulfill his fathers wish he became a banker but was so dejected to give up his love for writing that for many years he did not write his name in Urdu.[9]
