Route description

Further information: [[Kentucky Route 728]]

KY 1827 begins as a dead-end road at the Nolin Lake State Park in north-central Edmonson County. It then heads to its first junction with KY 728 and runs concurrently with that route for about two miles (3.2 km). After the intersection with Ollie Road, KY 1827 goes straight, while KY 728 makes a diagonal turn at the second intersection of the two state routes. KY 1827 intersects KY 1352, which connects this area with the Green River Ferry and the visitors' center of Mammoth Cave National Park. KY 1827 then enters Hart County and ends at this route's third junction with KY 728.[2]
