Kent Eugene Wells (born July 25, 1967) is a former American football defensive tackle who played one season with the New York Giants of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Washington Redskins in the sixth round of the 1990 NFL Draft. He played college football at the University of Nebraska and attended Lincoln East High School in Lincoln, Nebraska. Wells was also a member of the Ohio Glory of the World League of American Football. He later played for the Cleveland Thunderbolts, Tampa Bay Storm, Iowa Barnstormers and Orlando Predators of the Arena Football League.

Professional career

New York Giants

Wells was drafted in the sixth round of the 1990 NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins. He played in six games for the New York Giants 1990 Super Bowl team.

Ohio Glory

Wells spent the 1992 season with the Ohio Glory.

Cleveland Thunderbolts

Wells played from 1993 to 1993 with the Cleveland Thunderbolts.

Tampa Bay Storm

Wells spent three seasons with the Tampa Bay Storm. He participated in the 1993 AFL All-Star game and was named First Team All-Arena in 1995 and 1996. He was also Lineman of the Year in 1996. Wells won ArenaBowl IX and X with the Storm.

Iowa Barnstormers

He played the 1998 season with the Iowa Barnstormers.

Orlando Predators

Wells played his final season of professional football with the Orlando Predators in 1999.
