Kenny Doughty is an English actor who trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

Doughty has recently completed filming opposite Brenda Blethyn in ITV's Vera as the new regular DS Aiden Healy. Following this he stars opposite Sheridan Smith in ITV's Black Work. Both to be aired mid 2015.[1] [2]

Kenny played 'Gaz' in Simon Beaufoy's new stage play of The Full Monty at the Noël Coward Theatre, West End London in 2014.It received an Olivier nomination for Best New Comedy in 2014. [3]

Kenny won the Best Actor Award at the Palm Beach International Film Festival in 2005 for his performance in The Aryan Couple.

Personal life

Married to the actress Caroline Carver. Doughty is an avid Manchester United football fan. He is represented by Conway Van Gelder Grant[4] talent agency in London.

Theatre

Kenny completed a sell out UK tour of Simon Beaufoy's stage play The Full Monty in 2013. The play was a huge critical success and as a result has been transferred to the Noël Coward Theatre in the West End, London for a run in 2014. The play is directed by Daniel Evans and produced by David Pugh and Dafydd Rogers.

Previous theatre include Peter Gill's 'Small Change' playing in Cardiff. 'Troilus & Cressida' at the Old Vic directed by Dominic Dromgoole and 'Present Laughter' at the Royal Exchange Manchester directed by Matthew Lloyd.
