Kenneth Yen
Kenneth Yen (Chinese: 嚴凱泰) (born May 23, 1965) is a Taiwanese entrepreneur who is listed as one of the richest people in the world.[1] Yen was born in Taipei, Taiwan to Yen Ching-ling and Vivian Shun-wen Wu.[2] He attended secondary school at Zai-Xing High School in Taipei's Muzha District and later went to boarding school at The Pennington School.[3] He attended Rider University in the United States where he studied business administration.[4] He also has received an honorary business degree from St. John's University.[4] In 1986, he returned to Taiwan to lead the China Motor Corporation and Yulon, his family's business.[4] Yen was officially named chairman of Yulon in August 2007.[2] According to Forbes magazine, he has an estimated net worth of $1.05 billion USD.[1]
He has one daughter, Michelle, with wife Chen Li-lien.[5]
