Keith Jukes
The Very Reverend Dean Keith Michael Jukes (18 February 1954 – 21 May 2013) was the Dean of Ripon.[1]
Jukes was born on 18 February 1954.[2] He studied Theology at the University of Leeds, graduating in 1976[3] with a Bachelor of Arts.[4] He was ordained in 1979 and his first posts were West Midlands curacies. He was Vicar of Selby Abbey from 1997[4] or 1999[5] and Prebendary of Lichfield Cathedral[4] before his elevation to the Deanery.[6]
Jukes died from stomach cancer on 21 May 2013.[7] He had announced his illness on the previous Sunday.[8] He leaves a wife (Susanne) and two children.
