Keith Fitchett (born 21 February 1946) is a Liberal Democrat politician in the London Borough of Lambeth. Fitchett was a Councillor for Prince's ward in Kennington in the North of the Borough from 1990 until May 2006.

He stood unsuccessfully for Parliament on a number of occasions, firstly as an SDP candidate in Banbury in 1983. He subsequently stood as a Liberal Democrat in Hackney North and Stoke Newington in 1992, Luton South in 1997, and Ashford in 2001.

As Chair of the Housing Committee, Cllr. Fitchett came under pressure from the then opposition Labour Party leader, councillor Steve Reed to resign after it was revealed that £3million had been stolen from the Council in an internal fraud perpetrated by a housing official recruited by an employment agency.[1] Fitchett rejected Cllr Reed's call to resign, saying that he was not personally at fault. In February 2006 Fitchett resigned from his position as Lambeth's executive member for housing, claiming that the investigation into the fraud had unfairly treated staff in the housing department.[2]

In the 2006 election he lost his Prince's Ward seat to Labour.
