Keesara or Kisara is a mandal in Rangareddi district of telangana, India.

The history of Keesara goes back to early Christian era. In fact it is the oldest inhabited place of Hyderabad city. The history of hyderabad starts from the history of Keesara. The ruins of old fort can be seen on the hill. keesara is well connected to Ghatkesar.

Panchayats

There are 12 panchayats in Keesara mandal.[1]

Keesara consist of 28 Villages and 12 Panchayats . Haridaspalle is the smallest Village and Nagaram is the biggest Village . It is in the 481 m elevation(altitude) . This Place is in the border of the Rangareddi District and Nalgonda District. Nalgonda District Bommala Ramaram is East towards this place .

Temples

The popular temple of Shiva and lingas, Keesaragutta Temple is located here. There is also Laxmi Narasimha Temple built during the time of Qutub Shahi period.

There is Sri Ramalingeshwara temple here on a hillock and the Veda Pathasala run by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams.

there is a museum located here. it contains the artecrafts and archeological evidences found here
