Kees Akerboom is a Dutch professional basketball player currently with the DBL team SPM Shoeters Den Bosch. He has represented The Netherlands’ national basketball team on many occasions. Akerboom jr. is the son of Kees Akerboom, Sr.
Career
Akerboom started his professional career with the same team as his father did, EiffelTowers Den Bosch in the Dutch Basketball League. He played three seasons in Den Bosch before he left for the MPC Capitals from Groningen. Akerboom stayed two years in Groningen before he returned to his old team EiffelTowers. He won his first Dutch championship in 2007, his second in 2012.
