Kaviya Thalaivan is a 1992 Tamil drama film directed by K. S. Gopalakrishnan. The film features Vijayakanth and Bhanupriya in lead roles. The film had musical score by Aravind Siddhartha and was released on 25 October 1992 on Deepavali. [1][2]

Plot

Manikkam (Vijayakanth) is released from jail in Singapore for an accident committed by his friend Chandru. Manikkam has to leave Singapore. In the boat in destination to India, he saves an old industrialist Damodaran (M. N. Nambiar) from rowdies. Damodaran hires Manikkam in his factory . Priya (Bhanupriya), a very arrogant girl, hates Manikkam and lives with her grandfather Damodaran. She has a twin sister Saradha who lived with her mother Subha (Manjula Vijayakumar) in Singapore. Priya and Manikkam get married. She continues to hate him but she changes her behaviour. The doctor reveals to Manikkam that his wife is sterile and Manikkam changes the report. Priya decides to hate more and more Manikkam because she thinks that he is sterile. Priya runs away to Singapore. Priya and Saradha exchange their life for few days. The rest of the story is about what happens to Manikkam, Priya and Saradha.
