Katy Tiz is a British pop singer-songwriter who gained mainstream acknowledgement for her artist career after she released her cover of Rock Mafia's popular debut single "The Big Bang" which led her to landing a recording contract with Atlantic Records. Tiz has confirmed in recent interviews that she was indeed working on her debut album under Atlantic Records with Rock Mafia serving as co-producers on the record.

Career

In late 2012, Tiz was signed to Lava/Republic, and Warner/Chappell Publishing. During her time signed to Lava/Republic, she had released three singles "Famous", "Heart", and "Red Cup", but was dropped from her record labels in the fall of 2013.

Shortly after parting ways with Lava/Republic, Tiz teamed with songwriting/production duo Rock Mafia. Tiz released a cover of Rock Mafia's popular song "The Big Bang". The song had slowly been climbing up digital music charts and eventually entered the Billboard Mainstream Top 40 chart.[1] After gaining more and more success, TIz's cover of "The Big Bang" had debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 100 on May 17, 2014.[2] Soon after Tiz had gained recognition for her work, she was quickly signed with Atlantic Records on April 17, 2014. Tiz has announced that she was starting work on her debut full-length album. On July 3, 2014, Tiz released an official music video for her cover of "The Big Bang" onto YouTube.[3]

Tiz is also an active songwriter, and have recently written hits for Girls' Generation, Cheryl Cole, and more.
