Katherine Newman is an American professor of sociology at Johns Hopkins University and author.[1] She received a Robert F. Kennedy Book Award for No Shame in My Game in 2000.[2]

She is currently Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor of the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
