Kashif Ali
Kashif Ali (Urdu: کاشف علی بابر, born 4 November 1992) is a Pakistani singer and reality programs competitor. He is best known for reality show Pakistan Idol.[1][2] Kashif hails from a background of musicians, at very early age he started singing. His performances in series are considered as one of the finests performance of Idols. He became famous for his emotional and touching performances. currently he is in among Top 8 finalists. His music influenced singers includes Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Javed Ali, Sonu Nigam and composer/singer A. R. Rehman.
Personal life
Kashif Ali was born to Muslim parents in Lahore on November 4, 1992 as Kashif Ali Baber, his father is a famous Pakistani flutist who has worked in many Pakistani films. Kashif Ali has been singing from the age of seven and got trained by his grandfather. Kashif did matriculation and went to Punjab University for graduation but dropped out to take part in Idol series.
Pakistan Idol
Kashif Ali auditioned for Pakistan Idol in Lahore Auditions. Despite mixed reviews and Ali Azmat calling Kashif's performance to be "reluctant" and saying he was 'not letting the soul out', he received Golden Ticket to Karachi. In first of theater rounds Kashif couldn't impress the judges but advanced to next level as compared to other performances. Kashif performed "Arziyaan" by Javed Ali in third theater round and managed to reach at Top 24 by his consistent performance.[3] Following Top 24, Kashif Performed in semifinals of Group 2 and eliminates after facing public votes, his elimination lead a great shock of light in show for the first time.[4] He joined the series again after getting Wild Card entry. Kashif manages to place himself as a top performer in series. Kashif is good friends with Muhammad Shoaib, Syed Ali Asad Zaidi, Waqas Ali Vicky, Shameer Aziz Quidwai, Zamad Baig and Abd-ul-Rafay Khan.
