Kasaragod Railway Station (Code:KGQ) is a major railway station serving Kasaragod Town in the Kasaragod District, state of Kerala. It lies in the Shoranur - Mangalore Section of the Southern Railways and is the first major stop for trains departing from Mangalore Central towards Kerala. The station has 3 platforms and three tracks; no trains originate from this station. Fifty-seven trains pass through the station with a majority that serve it.[1] Trains that serve the station connect the town to prominent cities in India such as Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Kollam, Chennai, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kozhikode, Coimbatore, New Delhi, Mangalore, Mysore, Pune, Jaipur, Jammu Tawi and others.[2]
