Karki (name)
The Karki is a Chhetri surname in Nepal and Rajput cast of North India. Karkis are also Masta, local non-vedic deity of Karnali region, worshipers. The name Karki means revenue officer derived from the word "Kar" meaning tax in Nepali. Karkis have always been an integral part of the Nepalese Army and have contributed significantly in the field of Law, Science and Technology, Banking and Finance and other Government Services.
