Kapil Sharma(born November 6, 1979) is an Indian actor and writer.[1]

In 2010, he received a best actor award from the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra Chaggan Bhujwal for his sensitive performance in "Dunno Y...Na Jaane Kyun". This film received the Viewers Choice award at the Trikone Satrang film festival in Sydney.

Kapil Sharma and Yuvraaj Parashar are first Indian actors to act in a European music band of Norway called Hungry Hearts.

Kapil Sharma and Yuvraaj Parashar have won Best Actors award at 6th Outview LGBT Film Festival of Athens 2012.

In 2004, he debuted with "Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyon", directed by his elder Brother Anil Sharma. Hence forth Kapil Sharma also entered into the world of Short Films Prior to Anurag Kashyap. Kapil Sharma has written Short Film Zindagi which is Directed by Priyanka Raina
