'Kannan' is a Tamil film music composer. He made his debut as composer with Thamizh Padam (2010).[1]
Career
Kannan who is a student of Music College had started his career as a guitarist in 1988 and then went on to compose jingles for about 600 commercials for the agency of C. S. Amudhan who gave him the chance to compose music for his directorial debut Thamizh Padam (2010).[2][3] Kannan revealed that even though the film was a spoof, he "wasn't specifically asked to spoof other songs".[2] The soundtrack received positive reviews from critics who called it "amusingly memorable debut for Kannan".[4] The songs "Pacha Manja" and "O Maha Zeeya" were well received. This film remains as the only successful venture for Kannan as the other films he had composed music went unnoticed due to its low key release.
