Kanal 7 (English: Channel 7) is a Turkish nationwide TV channel established in 1994. It is an Islamic/Islamist channel with links to Islamist parties including the current Justice and Development Party. It has a terrestrial broadcast licence and is available throughout Turkey, as well as via satellite.
From 1995 to 1997 Ayşe Önal hosted a discussion show Minefield on Kanal 7 which brought together Jews, Armenians and Turks five days a week in a way not previously seen on Turkish television.[1]
