Kameoka Station (亀岡駅 Kameoka-eki) is a railway station in Kameoka, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan.

Layout

The station has two island platforms serving four tracks. Tracks 1 and 2 on the north side are for trains bound for Kyōto and Tracks 3 and 4 on the south side are for trains bound for Sonobe. The ticket office and gates are in the building over the tracks. Entrances to the station are on the south and north side of the station.[1]

History

Kameoka Station opened on August 15, 1899 when the Kyōto Railway extended the line from Saga to Sonobe.[2]
