Kal Chaudhvin Ki Raat Thi is a popular ghazal from the movie Khamoshi. It was originally sung by Jagjit Singh[1][2] but the version by Ghulam Ali , Asad Amanat Ali and Abida Parveen is also popular.[3] It is written by Ibn-e-Insha. This song was also sung by Kumar Sanu in the movie ziyala, which was also become semihit in the 1990s.

First sheyr of the ghazal goes like this :
"Kal Chaudhvin Ki Raat Thi, Shab bhar raha charchaa tera.
Kuchh ne kaha ki ye chaand hai, kucch ne kaha chehra tera."
English Translation : Yesternight was the Fourteenth, (Almost full moon night) and whole night there was the discussion about you. Some said it's the moon, some said it's your face!
