Kairos: A Journal of Rhetoric, Technology, and Pedagogy is an online peer-reviewed academic journal which publishes webtexts and other materials in the fields of computers and writing, composition studies, and digital rhetoric. It was established in 1996 and publishes two or three issues per year, including an issue devoted to the annual Computers and Writing Conference. Its sister site, Kairosnews, provides an online forum for discussion of issues related to rhetoric, technology, and pedagogy. The editor-in-chief is Douglas Eyman (George Mason University).[1]
Journal sections
The journal is currently divided into four sections:
- Topoi, which publishes webtexts related to each issue's theme
- Praxis, which publishes webtexts which focus on pedagogy and classroom practice
- Interviews, which publishes interviews with notable scholars in the field
- Reviews, which provides reviews of work of interest to Kairos readers
Prior to 2006, the journal had sections entitled CoverWeb and Features; the Topoi section merged those two sections.
