KWPW (107.9 FM, "Power 108") is a radio station broadcasting a contemporary hit radio format. Licensed to Robinson, Texas, USA, the station serves the Waco area. The station is currently owned by Bill McCutcheon.[2]

History

The station began in 1972 as KCIR for "The Golden 'CIR'cle". It was assigned the call letters KXCL-FM on 1983-04-12. On 1985-02-01, the station changed its call sign to KAND-FM, then after its purchase by Marcos A. Rodriguez the call sign was changed on 1994-01-19 to KICI-FM, on 1998-02-20 to KDXX-FM, on 2002-01-11 to KDOS, on 2005-04-30 to KHCK, and on 2010-08-27 to the current KWPW.[3]
