KWOK (1490 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a Sports radio format to the Aberdeen, Washington, USA area. The station is owned by MCC Radio, LLC and features programing from ESPN Radio and Westwood One.[1]
History
The station went on the air as KJET. On 1999-04-13, the station changed its call sign to KGHO, on 2000-02-18 to the current KWOK.[2]
In November, 2012, KWOK filed an application with the FCC to move to a different transmitter site, reduce night power to 760 watts and change the city of license to from Hoquiam, Washington to Aberdeen. The FCC issued the approval for the move on July 7, 2014.
