KOCP (95.9 FM, "Old School 95.9") is a commercial radio station located in Camarillo, California, broadcasting to the Oxnard-Ventura, California, area. KOCP plays a Rhythmic Oldies music format. It is owned by Gold Coast Broadcasting LLC.

History

The station went on the air as KEWE with an automated soft rock format in 1972. Five years later, it adopted the call letters KGAB as album rock station "B96" before changing to adult contemporary in 1982 as KZTR (K-Star). It kept the KZTR call letters as "96ZTR" when it went classic rock in 1987, then went Spanish language for four years in the early 1990s as KELF ("El Elefante"). In 1995 they changed their call letters to KOCP and aired a classic rock format branded as "The Octopus'. On August 25, 2010 KOCP changed their format to classic hits branded as "Rewind 95.9". On August 29th, 2014, KOCP flipped to rhythmic oldies as Old School 95.9.

As of 2014 the station broadcasts as Old School 95.9 FM, operating on the same frequency as KFSH in Anaheim, CA and compete for signal strength in fringe areas such as the San Fernando Valley.
