KMHX airs a Hot adult contemporary music format branded as Mix 104.9. This station as well as the other Maverick Media Of Santa Rosa stations has been purchased by Lawrence Amaturo, through licensee Amaturo Sonoma Media Group, LLC.

KMHX started on 104.1 FM, Maverick Media purchased country station KRPQ ("Q105") (104.9 FM) and the intellectual property of KMHX from Results Radio in March 2006. Maverick Media moved the HOT AC format of KMHX on to the stronger 104.9 as they already owned a Country Station, Froggy 92.9. By 2011, the station moved to adult contemporary from adult top 40 according to the Mediabase reports. In August 2012, KMHX returned to Hot Adult Contemporary.
