KHIG (1580 AM) is a pot talk radio station in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The station (as KREL) was an ESPN Radio affiliate as of January 2013 and was a Fox Sports Radio affiliate from October 2014 to April 2015. KHIG is licensed to Colorado Springs, Colorado, the station is owned by Pilgrim Communications, Inc., although it hasn't simulcasted Pilgrim's Radio Colorado Network since 2012.

KHIG is operated by the Radio Colorado Network (RCN).

History of call letters

The call letters KREL were previously assigned to a station in Goose Creek, Texas, that began broadcasting December 2, 1947.[1]

K-High 1580

On April 15, 2015 KREL changed their format from sports to marijuana talk, branded as "K-High 1580" (under new call letters, KHIG).[2]
