KESTOS

Kestos is a British lingerie [1] brand founded in London in 1925 by the Polish-born designer Rosaline Kiln.[2][3] Kestos major innovation[4] to the feminine underwear in the 1930s was the development of the two separate cups model.[5][6] Rosaline Kiln, director of the Kestos Corset Compagny, started experimenting with a pair of hankies, just like Caresse Crosby[7][8] back in 1913. Kestos bra was the first commercially produced brassiere that had two distinct and defined cups[9] and "the Kestos" became a generic trademark bra.[10][11][12] Kestos is distributed in the US,[13] UK, Canada, Australia, France as well as some other European countries[14] and was popular through the 30's, 40's and into the early 50's.[15]
