K50 Airport, also known as the Km N° 50 Airport, is a commercial airport in the southern Lower Shebelle region in Somalia.[1][2]
Overview
Its name is derived from its location, about 50 kilometres west of Mogadishu.[2] In the late 2000s, K50 served as Mogadishu's main airport while Aden Adde International Airport briefly shut down due to the ongoing War in Somalia.[2] Daallo Airlines operated routes to and from K50 at one time.[2]
