The bridge from the mainland to Justøy over Blindleia
Justøy is an island in the municipality of Lillesand in Aust-Agder County, Norway. The name comes from Old Norse Jóstr.
Justøy has bridges and scattered settlements. On the island is the old outport Brekkestø, one of the remains from the time of sailing ships in the Skagerrak coast.
Justøy is Aust-Agder's second largest island, 7.9 km ². The island is largely characterized by summer tourism. There are Montessori school, chapel,[1] cemetery, pension[2] and campsite[3] on the island,[4] and the summer open shop in Brekkestø.
In Nyberg, next Brekkestø, are ruins from the World War II.[5] Festung Björkestraße, German fortifications with bunkers located there, it was built by Norwegian prisoners of war
