Biography

Reeves grew up in Ashland, Kentucky and made her way to country music mecca Nashville in 1994. She worked as a singer on demo recordings and in other odd jobs. Reeves was discovered and signed to Virgin Records. Her debut and only album It's About Time was released in 1999. The album produced three chart singles, including two Top 40 hits on the Hot Country Songs charts. She was also featured on "Shoulda Shut Up", a song featuring Bill Engvall's spoken-word comedy and a sung chorus. Reeves married country music parodist Cledus T. Judd and, despite divorcing him, she gave birth to a daughter, Caitlyn Rose, in 2004. Julie took a break from country music after the birth of her child in order to raise her daughter, Caitlyn. Julie now resides in Kentucky and is married to bluegrass musician, Chris Davis. The two of them have a son together, Rylan Wesley Davis, born November 5, 2011.

Beginning in April 2013, Reeves became host of the Julie Reeves Live morning show on 93.7 The Dawg.
