Julie Allred

Julie Allred (May 20, 1954 – December 29, 2011) was an American child actress.

Biography

Julie Allred was born 20 May, 1954 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.[1] She was married to Mitchell Ovitz and together they had four children. Her children were named Noah (born 1975), Adam (born 1978), Sharon (born 1983), and Joshua (born 1985). Allred graduated in the year of 1972 from Chalutzim Academy, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.[2] In her later years, she worked as a nurse in obstetrics and pediatrics. Allred was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 10. Allred received an islet transplant to help with her insulin issues.[3]

Career

Her only movie role was in the 1962 film What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?, in which Allred played the bratty, child version of Baby Jane Hudson. The adult version was played by Bette Davis.[2]

Death

She died in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania on December 29, 2011 from complications of diabetes. [4]
