Julia Margaret Parton (born July 4, 1964) is an American bondage model, B-movie actress, television sitcom bit player and former pornographic actress.[2] She is purportedly a distant cousin of Dolly Parton, which she has used in self-promotion.[3]
Career
The Kentucky-born Parton was raised in California, where she attended Granada Hills Charter High School in Los Angeles. She entered pornography in the early-1980s, starting with modeling in men's magazines under the name of Nina Alexander. She made her first adult film in 1982, then acted in B-movies and television bit parts.[4]
She returned to pornography in 1990 to capitalize on her supposed relationship as a distant cousin of actress and country music superstar Dolly Parton by using her birth surname. This time she worked in adult films until 2000, mostly performing in only lesbian or girl/girl scenes.[2] She attempted several other ventures, such as Porn Radio in 1998, which would have reportedly been "the first adult radio station on the Internet"[5] and an autobiography, co-authored by Jason Sechrest in 2001, to be titled Saving Jezebel[6] which was written, but has not been published.
