Reception
The Soundtrack Album received positive response from the critics. Musicperk.com gave a review stating "Julayi is an out and out youthful album from the mega combo (DSP & Bunny). All the songs project a sense of clean fun! On flip slide, the album lacks an out and out mass song and a best melody which is usually found in this combo. Nevertheless, the album has chances to become a chartbuster as it has its own elements in engaging the listeners and finally it is a well-mannered, Lovely and lively album by DSP" and rated the album 9/10.[12] 123telugu.com gave a review stating "DSP and Allu Arjun have teamed up quite successfully in the past and this current album Julayi has some pretty good tracks as well. Coming immediately after the smash hit Gabbar Singh, expectations are sky high over DSP’s work and he has managed to deliver a decent album. Allu Arjun is a terrific dancer and he has some good tunes in this album to showcase his potential. We will have to wait and see if Trivikram can elevate these songs to a new level with his picturization."[13] IndiaGlitz gave a review stating "Julayi will entertain those who do not expect much, but it might cause some disappointment for diehard DSP fans. It is a decent album, entertaining in its own way. Rama Jhogaya Sastry, Sri Mani and DSP himself pen the lyrics for this unusual album, whose songs centre more around the character Arjun as also actor Arjun. The vocals of Suchith Suresan, Priya Himesh, Adnan Sami, Tippu, Megha, Sagar, Ranina Reddy, Malgadi Subha are good."[14] way2movies.com gave a review stating "Devi Sri Prasad has delivered yet another energetic album for Allu Arjun through Julaayi. The songs are melodious, foot-tapping, catchy and highly energetic but Julaayi lacks freshness and variety in tunes. Nevertheless, the album is enjoyable and mainly targeted on the youngsters. DSP has composed fast-paced tunes keeping Allu Arjun, the stylish and one of the best dancers of Tollywood in mind. Enjoy the Julaayi music!!!"[15] TeluguOne gave a review stating "Devi Sri Prasad haven't disappointed his fans and the music lovers. Julayi songs are youthful, romantic and rhythmic. Lyrics by Ramajogayya Sastri, Sri Mani and DSP are good and they made the songs sounds really youthful. Overall, Devi Sri Prasad did a decent job and its upto director Trivikram Srinivas to make these songs visually enjoyable."[16]
