Journal of Visual Culture is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes papers three times a year in the field of visual arts. The journal's Editor-in-Chief is Marquard Smith (Royal College of Art), and its Principal Editors are Raiford Guins (Stony Brook University) and Joanne Morra (University of the Arts London). Scope
Journal of Visual Culture publishes papers that can be seen to represent and offer astute, informative and dynamic thought on aspects of the visual and from a variety of methodological perspectives. As an interdisciplinary journal it seeks to provide a forum for visual culture studies scholars across a number of disciplines including film, media and television studies, as well as art and design, among others from across the social sciences.
