Joshua Waddington was the defendant in the case Rutgers v. Waddington.
Arrival in America
In order to join his brothers William and Henry Waddington in Colonial America, Joshua Waddington moved from England to New York in 1776.[1] Waddington's second marriage was to Gertrude Gouverneur, the daughter of Abraham Ogden, by whom he had ten children.
