Josh Franceschi (born 7 August 1990) is an English singer and songwriter. He is the frontman and lead vocalist in the band You Me at Six.
Early life
Josh was born to parents Anne Franceschi [1] and Christian Franceschi in Weybridge, Surrey. He has an older sister named Elissa Franceschi. He is of Corsican-French (paternal) and Scottish and Welsh (maternal) descent. He lived in Cyprus in his early childhood, but later moved to Twickenham to live with his grandmother. At the age of 9, he moved back to Weybridge, Surrey.[2] He attended Heathside School until he was 16, and then moved to Esher College, where he studied A-Levels in Politics, History and Film Studies, getting grades A, B, and C respectively.[3]
Career
You Me at Six are signed to the labels Virgin, Epitaph, Slam Dunk. He also owned and designed a clothing range called 'Down But Not Out Clothing', which has recently closed down.
Throughout his career he has performed two duets with his sister Elissa. "Salt" by Elissa, and "Always Attract" with You Me at Six. He has also featured in a song called "You Are Not Alone" by Kid Arcade. The lead singer of Bring Me The Horizon appeared on You Me At Six's single, "Bite My Tongue" in 2011.
