Josh Brittain (born January 3, 1990) is a Canadian professional Ice Hockey Left Wing currently playing with the Ontario Reign of the ECHL. He was originally selected by the Anaheim Ducks in the 3rd round (71st overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.[2][1]

Brittain played four seasons (2006-2010) of major junior hockey in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) where he scored 80 goals and 72 assists for 152 points while registering 370 penalty minutes in 258 games played.[3] On May 6, 2010, the Anaheim Ducks signed Brittain to a three-year entry-level contract.[4]

Between the 2010-11 and 2012-13 seasons, Brittain would split time between the ECHL, in which he played for the Elmira Jackals and Fort Wayne Komets, and the American Hockey League, in which he played for the Syracuse Crunch and Norfolk Admirals.[2][5]

On August 7, 2013, Brittain signed a one-year AHL contract as a free agent with the Hershey Bears.[5] Brittain would split the 2013-14 season between the Bears and the Reading Royals.[3]

On September 18, 2014, Brittain signed a contract with the Kalamazoo Wings of the ECHL.[3] On November 19, 2014, Brittain was traded to the Missouri Mavericks of the ECHL in exchange for future considerations.[6]

On March 11, 2015, the Mavericks traded Brittain to the Ontario Reign of the ECHL in exchange for Defenseman Chris Owens and future considerations.[7]
