Joseph Warwick Bigger

Joseph Warwick Bigger (11 September 1891 – 17 August 1951) was an Irish politician and academic. He was an independent member of Seanad Éireann from 1947 to 1951. He was first elected to the Seanad at a by-election on 22 November 1947 by the University of Dublin constituency.[1] The vacancy was caused by the appointment of T. C. He was Professor of bacteriology and preventive medicine at the University of Dublin.[2]

His father Sir Edward Coey Bigger was a Senator from 1925 to 1936. The younger Bigger was a nephew of Roger Casement.[3]
