The Joseph Bancroft House is a historic house at 101 Lowell Street in Reading, Massachusetts. The Federal style house was built c. 1831-35 by Joseph Bancroft, son of a major local landowner. The 2-1/2 story wood frame house has a central chimney; its most prominent Federal feature is the front doorway surround, which includes pilasters topped by a tall Doric entablature. To the right side is a 1-1/2 story ell that was added in the 1950s.[2]
