Josep Maria Bartomeu i Floreta[1] (born 6 February 1963) is the current president of FC Barcelona since 2014, following the resignation of Sandro Rosell, and a Spanish entrepreneur and engineer.
Partner and CEO of the companies ADELTE (engineering for airports) and EFS (group of companies and electromechanical maintenance of terminal equipment), served on the board of FC Barcelona during Joan Laporta's presidency (as head of the basketball section) along with Sandro Rosell, who resign due to differences with the then president. He was the vice president on the board of Rosell in Barcelona Football Club from July 2010 to January 2014 after they won the election with 61.35 % of votes of the members of the club. Following the resignation of Sandro Rosell presidential, on 23 January 2014, due to the admissibility Judge Ruz by the complaint of so-called "Neymar case," the Board of Directors, following the club's constitution, Bartomeu was elected as the 40th President of FC Barcelona since 23 January 2014 to complete the term of Rosell which ended on 30 June 2016.
