Jose Villarreal (born September 10, 1993) is an American soccer player who plays for the LA Galaxy in Major League Soccer.
Club career
Villarreal made his debut for LA Galaxy on July 15, 2012, coming on at the 90th minute, replacing Robbie Keane. Villarreal scored for LA Galaxy on July 18, a late long-range goal, to tie the game at 2–2 in only his second MLS match.[1]
On December 20, 2013 Villarreal moved to Mexican club Cruz Azul on loan from the Los Angeles Galaxy.[2]
On March 6, 2015 he scored the first goal of the new MLS season in a 2–0 home win over the Chicago Fire SC.[3]
International career
Villarreal has played for United States U18, and was also called into the United States U23 camp in the last Olympic cycle.
