Jonte Jahki Smith (born 10 July 1994) is a Bermudian footballer who plays as a forward for PS Kemi Kings.[3]
Career
The striker Smith started his career with North Village Rams.[4] He settled than in summer 2010 from the Caribbean Island Bermuda to England.,[5] who earned his first professional contract in August by Sutton United F.C.. He played no games in the first team and was only part of the U-18, before joined in August 2011 to Crawley Town F.C., here earned in April 2012 after a prolific season in the under-18s, his first senior contract with the club.[6]
Jonte, who came over to England in search of a career as a professional footballer, scored his first senior goal in pre-season against Bromley in a 3-2 win in July 2012.
He enjoyed a prolific loan spell with Met Police in the first three months of the 2012-13 season, scoring 24 goals.[7] It earned him promotion to the first-team squad and he made his debut as a substitute in the 3-0 defeat to AFC Bournemouth on 29 December 2012 - one of four appearances on the bench during the campaign.
He finished the season on loan at Conference South club Eastbourne Borough before signing a new one-year contract at the end of the 2012-13 season.[8]
On 13 March 2013, Smith joined Eastbourne Borough on an initial one month loan.[9] On 10 September 2013, Smith was again loaned out by his club, this time to Conference South side Havant & Waterlooville on a month's loan.[10] In October 2013 was after his return to Crawley, loaned out for his second time to Metropolitan Police F.C..[11]
In January 2014, Smith was loaned to Conference South club Gosport Borough.[12]
On 13 March 2014, Smith joined Finnish side PS Kemi Kings on loan until 30 June 2014 with a view to a permanent move.[13] He made the move permanent at the end of the loan spell. In March 2015 left Finland and followed his former Head coach Tommy Taylor, to Norwegian 2. Divisjon side Flekkerøy IL.[14]
